Peter Pan Nursery - Extended Schools

At Peter Pan you are able to access a Before and After School Club and Holiday Club that is open every holiday except Christmas.

We also offer English classes in conjunction with Bedford College with a crèche facility.

Before and After school Club

Peter Pan Nursery School opens at 8.00am and closes at 6.00pm. Parents can access the extended provision as part of their child’s flexible offer.

Breakfast and Tea will be accessed at the Neighbourhood Nursery.

Breakfast club opens at 8.00am, tea club is available from 3.30 to 6.00pm, school staff will transfer the children from one building to the other.

Current charges are £3 per hour or part of.

Holiday Club

The Holiday Club is held in the nursery each holiday except Christmas and is open from 8.00am – 6.00pm every day. The club is open to all children from 3–8 years; you do not have to attend Peter Pan Nursery School or Cauldwell Lower School to attend. 

The club offers a wide variety of activities to children and has a large, accessible and safe outdoor area.

The charges for the club are currently £20 for a full day 8.00-6.00pm, £18 for a shorter day 9.00-4.00pm and £11 for a 4 hour period either in the morning or the afternoon.

Chatterbox

On a Tuesday afternoon during term time Julia Wetherilt our Family Support Worker runs a story and activity group for children under 3 and their parents.

The group offers children their first opportunity to experience nursery life with the confidence of having their parent with them.

The group starts at 1.30pm and there are always lots of activities to keep the children occupied.

Crocodile Club

Organised and run by our Learning Mentor Kathy Dunn. this club offers children under 3 and their parents/carers the opportunity to get together with other parents/carers, share a cup of coffee and a chat and allow the children to play safely.

Kathy runs the group on a Friday and offer two sessions each week, the morning is from 9.00-11.00am and the afternoon from 1.00-3.00pm. You are able for a small fee to borrow toys and books from the club each week.

Booking is essential and can be done through the school office on 350864.

English Classes

In conjunction with Bedford College we offer parents the opportunity to enrol in English classes.

The classes are held at Peter Pan Nursery School and in the Sure Start centre and are aimed at all levels of learners; beginners, elementary and intermediate.

There is a crèche available for these lessons and further details are available from Julia Wetherilt our Family Support Worker who can be contacted through the school office.

Sure Start Cauldwell

The Sure Start local programme works in partnership with Peter Pan Nursery School, Cherry Trees Nursery School and Southway Early Childhood Centre.

The programme supports families with children under 5 years.
